Dine at Elevation
ARBOR + SHEATH is dining at elevation – sourcing sustainable ingredients from pasture, fields, and streams as close to our mountain home as possible, including some ingredients grown on-site from our very own Hoop Houses. We are purveyors of Southern food prepared in a storyteller’s tradition. What elevates us is our dedication to the immersive nature of our guests’ experience. ARBOR + SHEATH of course is a place to gather, revitalize, and to nourish. Our passion, however, is to create more than a memory. Our guests leave the mountain with stories.
Located at Devils Backbone Basecamp in Nelson County, Va. ARBOR + SHEATH is a private indoor-outdoor dining experience offering award-winning craft beer, custom crafted cocktails, and thoughtfully curated food for parties from 2-12 people.
ABOUT THE SPACE
A reservation at ARBOR + SHEATH includes private access to the Devils Backbone Distillery Lounge with a look straight into the Distillery, an indoor fireplace, and a private bar. Access also includes the Lounge Patio with its spacious and covered outdoor seating, mountain views and a second fireplace.

ABOUT THE MENU
ARBOR + SHEATH features seasonal Southern cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Dale Ford and his Basecamp Brewpub team. The ingredients are grown on-site in Devils Backbone’s Hoop Houses and sourced by local vendors whenever possible, creating a true taste of the Virginia Heartland.
ABOUT THE BEVERAGES
Inspired by tradition, but not bound by it, our beverage menu offers a mixture of your favorite Devils Backbone beer, plus rare small batch brews. The cocktail list features custom crafted cocktails with a focus on spirits from Devils Backbone Distilling Co. Wine, cider, and other spirits can also be incorporated to suit everyone’s taste and preferences.
