Initial ideas sometimes stick, sometimes they slide. When first concepts involve jalapeños and everyone agrees, you know the design is hot! So you will not be surprised to learn that a bunch of charred chili peppers made there way into a DB Family Brew today at Basecamp.
Team Smoking Guns leader, Outpost brewer Robbie Stone, conveyed his team’s hopes for the peppers, “we wanted to bring some heat to the beer without it being a “total scorcher”.” So they worked up a nice malt bill to back the beer and added a hop profile with characteristics of tropical fruits, pine and resin.
